celebrated Sol Indiges (not to be confused with Sol Invictus on December 25). This festival is as old as the first king Titus Tatius. Long before, Latinus, king of a people of Latium, was the son of Ulysses and Circe, herself daughter of the sun. The descendants (called Aeneas), are then direct descendants of the sun. Other very important lineages of Rome such as the Aurelii are also descendants of the sun.
